281008 – Catba Island to Hanoi
Get up and meet in reception
bus out to boat
take boat out amongst islands, arrive at pontoon-house
get in Kyaks, Im paired with Miff.
Paddle out and about, trying to remember technique and giving Miff instructions.
Scenery, go under rocks to enclosed lagoon, village of pontoon-houses and fishermen
arrive at little island and swim from the beach
arrive back at the pontoon house for lunch
lunch of fish, squid, chips, vegetables
boat takes us to monkey island
Swim for a little bit, much colder..
chill out on deck-chair
monkeys arrive, noisy and threatening to group
boat picks us up and we return to Catba Island
little break at hotel
most go to cafe for food and drinks
bus back to boat, fast-hydrofoil back to mainland
bus back to hanoi
walk to puppet-theatre
show.. little unimpressed..
wander off to find Half-Man ½ noodle bar
no food there, group splits.
Street-meat!!! chicken noodle soup
drinks at Half-man, buy shirt
run into others at cheap beer corner, couple of drinks,
back to hotel, internet next door, buy water, chill in room.
